What Ask saves

Ask saves your questions, your replies, and the chart recipe on your account. Opening a chat loads prices for that recipe again.

How long chats stay

Each message stays for 30 days. A chat is removed when its last message is gone.

How to delete

Open Chat history and choose Delete chat. Delete all chats removes every chat and your Ask profile.

Ask profile

Ask can use your recent chats to fill in hubs, markets, and time windows. This is on by default. On Account, turn off "Use my recent Ask chats to fill in details", or clear the profile. Clearing the profile keeps your chats.

Download

On Account, Download my chats saves a JSON file of your chats and your Ask profile.

Backups

Deleted chats are removed from backups within 7 days.

Ask answer checks

After each Ask turn, the server sends a copy of the turn to TypeSafe's Jev model, typesafe-ai/jev, through Vercel AI Gateway.

The copy includes your question, up to 2,000 characters, the draft answer, up to 4,000 characters, compact tool results, up to 8,000 characters, the tool names used, and whether a chart was open.

Your account is identified only by a one-way hash: the first 16 hex characters of SHA-256 of the user id.

Jev grades the answer: what kind of question it was, and whether numbers look invented. It never changes the answer you see.

Server logs keep the first 80 characters of the question, the hash, and the grades.
